Timemanagement.net ranked high in Google with a keyword for a long time, but when the page suddenly dropped, they called in our expertise to get back to the top. The challenge
For a long time, the domain Timemanagement.net was stable in the top 3 for a keyword important to this client. At the client’s request, we kept the exact search term anonymous. In summer 2023, this started to fluctuate and the ranking page was often at the bottom of the top 5. From autumn onwards, the website was even regularly not shown as a search result at all for the keyword, despite its relevance and high positions on similar terms.
Our task was to investigate why this page of Timemanagement.net had dropped back in the search results, and then based on this investigation to get Timemanagement.net back into the top 3 of Google.
The strategy
To figure out the source of the problem, we started with a competitor analysis. This analysis showed that competitors mainly rank with landing pages that were set up in a different way than those of Timemanagement.net. There was not yet a specific page within the Timemanagement.net domain that was set up in a similar way to the competitors’. Therefore, there was no ideal match with the search intent that Google felt was appropriate for this term. We therefore advised the client to create a page that did match the search engine’s requirements.
After the client created the new page, we set to work on link building for this page. We had several authoritative websites in our extensive publisher network link to the new page on Timemanagement.net, with the aim of building up the authority of this page.

The results
The combination of creating the new page that best matched the search intent and increasing its authority through linkbuilding has had the desired effect. Nowadays, the page is not only displayed again in the search results, but consistently ranks in the top 3, just like before.
